Be respectful, responsible, and ready!
Mrs. Seeger's and Mrs. Hoff's second graders are engineers at work!
The Task: Students were given a specific set of simple materials. 15 straws, one sheet of paper, 5 rubber bands, 1 30-cm piece of tape, 100 cm of string. In a shoebox, they designed a shipping container for an egg (sealed inside a plastic baggie for safety). It’s teamwork at it’s best. Collaboration, compromise, and hard work. The box is then shipped to a school in Chicago in an eggs-change. When both classes receive their packages, they will open them live on Skype. They will analysis and share data about the condition of the eggs.
Stay tuned for the results!
Mary Fay is proud to have these amazing teachers become tenured. Congratulations to Mrs. Vitiello, Mrs. Jaggers, and Mrs. Lucy!
